It was a great game and their daughter played well, but while at the game the couple received  bad sunburns.  When they checked into their hotel they were in no mood to go out to dinner.  &lt;span&gt;So they asked the front desk girls if there was good pizza that could be delivered  to the room.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;The faces on the front desk girls immediately brightened as they said, "Oh yes, Pizza  &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;Schmizza&lt;/span&gt;!!!  They have GREAT pizza with all kinds of  gourmet toppings and great sauces. They even have steak and potato, spicy &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;Tai&lt;/span&gt;  and alligator sausage!"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, they asked, "How do you know all  this?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They replied, "Well, the owners bring pizza to us every week for  our break."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;MARKETING LESSON !!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pizza &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;Schmizza&lt;/span&gt; had figured out that the hotel's front desk girls were in a great position to recommend &lt;span&gt;a pizza place to weary travelers. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So if they &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;gave samples&lt;/span&gt; of their pizza on a &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;repeated&lt;/span&gt; basis to &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;people who are most likely to connect with their prospective customers it can be very good advertising!  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;These people become referral evangelists for their pizza!  Think about who you might offer repeated samples and develop referral evangelist.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now broaden this idea to postcard marketing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You cannot deliver a sample of your product on a postcard, but you can deliver the next best thing and that is a good photo image of your product.  A good picture of a delicious pizza or luscious hamburger or etc ...  can create the hunger pangs in any prospective customer.
